Controversial India-born author Salman Rushdie finally revealed that his wife Padma Lakshmi`s decision to divorce him had a crippling effect on him. He said the divorce was a threat to his literary career.

Loosing a wife as hot and intelligent as Padma would leave any man in taters forget Rushdie. The man says that Divorce is a painful thing but he didn’t bring into mention his last three married relationships, clearly indicating something which he didn’t mention openly.

Lol, stating the obvious atul but apart from that an intellectual like Rushdie, creative of bouncer novels like Satanic verses!!! married to a model, people could have really held their breath for this divorce, it was kind of on the cards. A writer is simple and least glamorous simply because his thoughts are his light and a model thrives on publicity and everything that is not so deep.. so I think it wasnt the most ideal alliance.
